Commercialization and branding
A summary of our work in branding and commercialization of different arts and crafts products by creative women
ILaED.org in partnership with Grooming a Successful Woman with Intellectual Mind (GSWIM) runs the project on Empowering Women in Arts & Crafts for Economic Value in Uganda. In its effort to empower women through arts and crafts, ILaED.org engages in commercialization and branding activities. Examples include holding an exhibition at the Asian Harvest Festival Bazaar organized by the Asian Ambassador's Wives Association of Geneva (AAWAG) on 2 June 2022 at the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. The exhibition was one of the many activities that ILaED engages in to economically empower women and girls. Others include teaching women how to make tradeable goods, the value of intellectual property, branding, e-electronic commerce and commercialization both at national and international level. The exhibition show-cased, on the international market, environmentally-friendly handmade crafts, some of which are protected by trademarks. ILaED.org's participation was made possible by the invitation and support of AAWAG. We are immensely grateful for their generous support to women we care about.
