Empowering women in Art & Crafts for economic value in Uganda.

ILaED.ORG and GSWIM (Grooming  Successful women with Intellectual Mind) are pleased to announce its new project, “Empowering women in Art & Crafts for economic value in Uganda”.

This project’s objective is to contribute to the economic empowerment of women through art and crafts as well as enhance their creativity by supporting them to level up with their artistic works. This project will empower, motivate and enhance women in art & crafts for economic value.

Why: To enhance the creativity of women through arts and crafts. 

How: Through training,  workshops, reaching out and encouragement

Goals
  • provide skills to women and girls in art and crafts as well as enhance their creativity by supporting them to level up their artistic works.

  • at improving the talents of women in art & crafts to create and produce unique handmade artistic products with commercial value

  • women and girls in the different communities will be encouraged to be creative and improve on their craftworks which will be promoted on the different social media platforms to attract market and interest from the philanthropists and buyers

  • We want the economic life of women and girls will be improved resulting in better life and sustainable households. This will altogether lead to gender balance and poverty eradication among vulnerable women and girls in the community.

Aims
  • the households of these women will be improved for sustainability and there will be more production of valuable crafts in the community

  • GSWIM and ILaED.ORG will purpose to reach out to vulnerable women in the community who are struggling to level up their talents and those who have not benefited from their work due to limited knowledge on how they can add value to what they are already doing in art and crafts

  • ​GSWIM & ILaED.ORG will also work with other parties & organizations interested in promoting and supporting the growth and development of women in art & crafts to economically benefit from their talents and artistic works
